If you keep up with me on social media, you probably saw where I shared something pretty exciting a few weeks ago, and if not then I'll get you up to speed really quick. I have partnered with Floor & Decor for a super exciting project and I cannot wait to share it with you over the next couple weeks as it comes together.

Back in March we were hoping to rip up the nasty carpet off our stairs and replace it with nice treads and risers, but instead we got MAJOR sticker shock at what the materials alone were going to cost us at big box stores.  A friend told us that she had passed a new store called Floor & Decor and it might be worth looking into and she was SO right! They had just opened a few weeks before and we ended up getting all the materials for the project for less than half of what it was going to cost us other places and the best part – there was no difference in the wood type or quality! Needless to say, we have loved Floor & Decor since. They over 60 stores across the US; you can find the one closest to you here – https://www.flooranddecor.com/stores

They stay up to date on the latest trends! I LOVE this new tile they are carrying and its something very similar to what is all over HGTV lately!
They have hundreds of different tile options available to their customers on top of a HUGE selection of vinyl planks, laminate, bamboo, and hardwood flooring options but don’t let the name fool you. While flooring in their specialty, they also carry a wide variety of home improvement materials ranging from hundreds of backsplash options, to sinks, some tools, and countertops. So naturally, when I started looking in to updating our kitchen with new countertops and backsplash, Floor & Decor was the first place that came to mind. This partnership for our kitchen makeover allowed me to have a store tour and learn more about who they are as a company and why they have been so successful. It was pretty neat so I wanted to share a little with you guys.

The price gap between Floor & Decor and their competitors is so huge because they deal directly with the manufacturers of the products they carry – there is no middle man and in turn it saves everyone money and everyone is happy. Another thing I thought was really cool is that they offer everyday low pricing and that is great because that means that when you want to get a project done, you know the price you are paying is the best price. You don’t have to wait weeks or months to get a great deal, and us “regular people” aka non-contractor customers get the same pricing as their pro-customers.
Another HUGE thing that sets them apart from their competitors is their design service. They have designers who are there in store any time they are open just for you, for FREE! If you come in to the store with pictures and measurements of your space in its current state, they will help you come up with a game plan for your project, no matter what it is! You can find out more about this awesome program and even set up an appointment with a designer at your local store here https://www.flooranddecor.com/customer-care/design-services.html

Amy was very helpful when it came to making my selections for our kitchen makeover because I had a really hard time choosing on my own!
Here are my selections for this project, I am literally SO excited to watch this all come together!

One of the shower displays totally sold me on going with dark grout.

Bamboo countertops! They are a fun spin on the common butcher block countertop choice.
Floor & Decor does not offer installation, however they do have a list of local third-party contractors they can suggest to help you get the job done, but if you are a DIYer, there is another great benefit to choosing Floor & Decor! EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY they offer FREE classes throughout the day that are taught in-store where you can learn how to install backsplash, wood flooring, and tile so you can do it yourself with confidence! I’ll be putting what I learned to the test in my kitchen next week and I can’t wait to share it with you! Stay tuned!
